The Iwo Progressive Group (IPG) is set to host its annual IPG Day on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Anwar Islam Grammar School Hall in Iwo. This year’s theme, “Politics Without Bitterness: Panacea For Iwo Development,” aims to foster a spirit of cooperation and constructive dialogue among stakeholders in the community.
The event will begin promptly at 10:00 AM and is expected to attract a diverse audience, including community leaders, political figures, and residents dedicated to the betterment of Iwo. His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1, Oluwo of Iwo, will grace the occasion as the Royal Father of the Day, emphasizing the traditional support for peace and collaboration in politics.
Prominent figures in attendance include Dr. Lekan Asifat, who will serve as the Guest Speaker, sharing insights on promoting a political landscape free of hostility. The day’s proceedings will be chaired by Hon. Sunday Oroniyi, a respected member of the community.
The event will feature notable attendees including Hon. Dr. Dotun Babayemi, Chief Host; Agbaakin Tayo Giwa, the Special Guest of Honor; Sen. Ademola Adeleke, the Executive Governor of Osun State as the Guest of Honor; and Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, along with various other dignitaries including lawyer Gbadegesin Adedeji.
