On Air Personality, Ojobaro Babatunde popularly known has Mr Rain has identified the reasons behind the endsars protest failure.
Mr Rain portrayed the youths has having a different motive for protesting and Majority were not involved.
Mr Rain while speaking in an interview on Tuesday ahead the one year anniversary of the End sars protest in Nigeria, allegedly identified some of the youths as thieves and they had a different motive for protesting not truly to end Sars.
He said “ I absolutely think that we got sidetracked and the sidetrack happened because many of us were not in the protest for genuine Purpose”
Mr Rain was at the protest ground in Ibadan and he witnessed the actions and activities of many Youths at the protest ground.
20th of October 2020 was a massacre day at the lagos toll gate, which saw to the loss of so many youths in the county.
Mr Rain narrated that the some youths were actively involved in the protest and at some point Majority lost focus and came out for the fun aspect not the main motive.
According to him, “ our parents have warned us not to go out nor protest because it does not worth it and nothing will change,from then till now nothing has changed”
“Some people want to be a part of it but they don’t want to own it”
Mr Rain stated that the protest has been scheduled to hold on the Lagos with the IGP awareness and he wish other states would do the same and make it a peaceful protest for the 1 year anniversary of the lekki toll gate massacre.
