Essence remix by Nigeria tecca Wizkid, featured Tems and Justin Bieber, has been nominated at for 2022 BBMAs, Billboard Music Awards.
It is good news in the camp of Wizkid FC as the Afrobeats star got a nomination for his 2021 smash hit song Essence (remix) featuring Canadian pop star Justin Bieber and Nigerian R&B star Tems at this year’s Billboard Music awards.
This was announced by the BBMAs, on their official Twitter handle, few hours ago.
Wizkid will be standing against other top stars, like Doja Cat, Giveon, Silk Sonic, and Justin Bieber, whose hit song ‘Peaches’ is also nominated, for ‘Top R&B Song.’
Having topped several local and international music charts with ‘Essence’ (featuring Tems) released off his 2020 ‘Made In Lagos’ album, Wizkid released Essence remix in 2021, featuring additional vocals from Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.
This year’s BBMAs ceremony will come up on May 15, which will feature many performances from artistes from different parts of the world.
Nigerian and Wizkid fc shall look toward Wizkid to bring the exotic award home, as he failed to come up with Grammy.
