Ibadan catholic Altar servers of Nigeria(IBCASAN) held it annual October devotion at the St Rita’s catholic church Arometa.
The lecturer at the event, Fr Steven Udechukwu speaking on the topic “Mary:our model of faith”.
Speaking at the event he pictured Virgin mary as an important vessel of faith in the Catholic Church, bringing out her usefulness and the role she played.
He also stated that confession and reconciliation with God is best thing every Altar sever should strive for, imploring them to engross purity.
In his words” You don’t have any business on the sanctuary if you won’t receive communion, clean your self before you climb the sanctuary”, He said.
Encouraging Altar servers to always Abstain from sin and avoid sin and also do the will of the scriptures and also show the Christ like spirit.
Chaplain of the Association, Fr. Christopher Areoye speaking at the event, encouraged Altar severs to continually pray to God because God listens to prayer and Gives to his children according to their need.
Over 100 Altar Severs from different Parishes attended the program flagging of the commemoration of the blessed virgin Mary Month, October.
