Barr. Uduji Kingsley has applauded the decision of the Presidential election tribunal on the petitions of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and their presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar as well as that of the Labour Party and their presidential candidate Peter Obi.
According to him, “the result of the presidential elections of February 25, 2023 is a true reflection of the choice of the majority of Nigerians. This election is perhaps the best election held in the History of Nigeria.” He further stated that although it is true that both the Candidates of the PDP and LP have the right to file a petition, their petitions where frivolous.
When asked about the dissatisfaction of the supporters of Peter Obi about the Presidential election results and the recent ruling of the Court, he had this to say:
“The supporters of Peter Obi are a delusional lot who think that they can use the instrumentality of the social media to harass and bully the judiciary into succumbing to their ridiculous claims. The Court of law is not a place where social media theatrics holds sway over the rule of law and evidence. Peter Obi was unable to prove with credible evidence the contents of his petition and so it was bound to fail woefully. My only advice for him is to accept defeat and support his Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
