ASCOM Sport activity takes new shape,Ayanboade Led Regime begins Training Session for Male, Female Students

The Association Of Student Communicators, (ASCOM), The Polytechnic Ibadan Chapter on Saturday commences their sports activities bothering around football, and other sort of games.

Association of Student Communicators, a student association for Mass Communication Students which is led by the President, Com. Ayanboade Kehinde Ademola pull this giant stride to further foster relationship between students and keep them fit.

In a statement with ASCOM Press’ Editor in Chief, Olanrewaju Bolaji, Com. Ayanboade Kehinde maintained that the training is one of the plans of his administration to ensure that students aside from their academics can also get fit and partake in sports activities.

“I so much believe in the popular saying that ‘all work without play, makes jack a dull boy’.

Apart from equipping the students with necessary materials, amenities and modalities that can help boost their morale, intellectual and academic capacity, we can also ensure we keep ourselves fit as students.

Activities like this will also help in fostering relationships between students from different arms in our dear and lovely department. We’re happy to commence this and we pray God be with us and protect us as we further fulfill our campaign promises to students” he said.

Com. Ayanboade further maintained that involving females in his administration will help to build potentials in students that can go into football.

“Female was never a feeble figure, in this wise, we have to involve our female students too, this can help build their potentials, female students from our department can also represent the institution in NIPOGA competitions.

We identify with them and we know those that can’t play football with partake in other sports activities like Ludo, scrabble, Ayo olopon, and other games that would be readily available as times goes” Ayanboade claimed.

While speaking with Ascom Sport Director, Com. Raheem Ismail Akinkunmi, he appreciated all students, both male and female that turned out enmasse for Saturday’s training.

He appreciated one of our seeming sponsors, Rapsheed Aluminum Company for their support, adding that; more students are expected to partake in subsequent training.

Over 60 students from ND1, ND2, HND1 and HND2 respectively partook in the training. The Ascom President, Com. Ayanboade Kehinde Ademola makes another record as he scored the first goal for his team in the injury time of the first Match.

ASCOM Stakeholder Chairman, Com. Salaudeen Oladeni Usman, and other members of the ASCOM Executive Council were also present at the training.
