Cardoso Old Students Give Back To Their Alma Mata, Sensitizes, Distributes Over 600 Materials to Female Students
In a bid to give back to their alma mata, The Old student association of Cardoso Junior High School, Badia, IJORA Lagos have held the first edition of their “Pad Up A Girl Child”, project, an initiative focused on sensitizing the girl child.
The Old Students who held the program on Monday, 26th of June, 2023 at the school auditorium were recieved in a warm welcome by the Principal of the Junior School, Mrs. Basirat Ganiyu who gave an overview of the school activities and also expressed her gratitude towards the Pad Up A Girl Child project.
The program which commenced with a welcome remark from the PRO of the alumni who is also the project Coordinator, Ms. Ekaette Ufot had pupils sensitized on the benefit of Health & Hygiene.
The sensitization had the students educated on how to take care of themselves during their monthly flow with practical illustration of how to use the Pad done by one of the junior class students, Miss Omolara.
The Project featured the distribution of no fewer than 684 pieces of Moleped Sanitry Pads to the students in JSS 3 and and JSS2 classes.
In attendance were other members of the alumni who participated in the distribution of pads of which they also received the
“Pad Up A Girl Child “ T-Shirt.
The principal Mrs BASIRAT GANIYU in her remark appreciated the effort of the old students body for their benevolence and also took members on a tour of the school premises to access the state of classrooms and learning facilities . The Alumni members present pledge to continue to support the Alma Mata in the best ways possible.
